A giclée is a very detailed fine art print. The ink is based on real pigments that are applied in layers, creating more depth. The colors are guaranteed for at least 75 year. The giclée prints are barely distinguishable form the original paintings.

About
My name is Joosje Strüwer, born in 1994. I am an Amsterdam based artist, graduated art teacher and architectural designer.
Study history
After high school I exchanged Amsterdam for Maastricht to study Architecture & Interior at the Academy of Visual Arts Maastricht.
I successfully completed my study in 2017. For my graduation I did research on the influence of public space on social cohesion in neighborhoods and analized the spatial processes that play a role in this. Although my love and passion for architecture and interior design will continue, I also developed a strong need to orientate myself further and be inspired more broadly.
In 2017 I moved back to Amsterdam. I started my second study at the Breitner Academy in Amsterdam to become a first degreed art teacher. I graduated in 2019 with my thesis on Art and Entrepreneurship. Since then I have been working as an art teacher in Amsterdam.

During my study years I have learned a lot about visual arts, architecture, interior design and urban design. Over the years I have gained experience in the field of painting, illustration, model building, product design and I immerse myself in graphic design. In my view, these disciplines overlap, and a broad knowledge of different disciplines can lead to interesting designs.
I get my inspiration everywhere: from movies and music to nature and people. My goal is to inspire people and to collaborate with other creatives from different disciplines.
Creation in isolation
The covid-19 lockdown inspired me to do what I like most: experimenting, drawing, painting, working with my hands. This has led to a series of paintings and sculptures with views that I have longed for during isolation.
